- Asking price
Why
To produce the report, improve estimates, and keep a history of readings for each VIN.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Exports for research use hashed VINs.
Vehicle history
VINs and readings are stored to improve estimates and build vehicle histories. The full VIN is kept on the vehicle record. Other records use that vehicle’s id. Exports use a SHA-256 hash of the VIN with a salt, not the VIN itself.
Purpose
Score a used EV or hybrid battery for a shopper or the vehicle owner.
Retention
A retention period is not published yet.
Deletion
Ask us to delete an email and the reports tied to it. Use the form on the deletion page. When ownership of a VIN is proved, deletion also removes the observations, price observations, and calibration pairs for that vehicle.
Until ownership verification exists, a deletion request is queued for manual review.
Canada and the United States
If you are in Canada, PIPEDA applies to this service. If you are in Quebec, Quebec's Law 25 applies as well. In the United States, state privacy laws may give you access, deletion, and opt-out rights depending on where you live. This draft does not list each statute.
